This photoshoot I decided to choose another Open. This was about shooting in unconventional or ugly locations. I edited the saturation and muted it just a little and adjusted the colors so it wasn't too blue. The ISO was 100 the Shutter speed was 125 and the Aperture was f1.8 These were some pictures of the places I took pictures. I learned that it isn't where you shoot photos as much as it is how and who. In saline it's sometimes hard to find great places to take pictures and that doesn't mean I can't take great pictures.
This week i'd love to shoot an open, in unconventional places, it would mostly be people. In places that aren't considered picturesque, like grocery stores, libraries, parking lots. So I would try to make these "ugly" places look good in the photos.
In this assignment, I used Layers, Guides, Resized the canvas, used Threshold dialogs, and Anchored Layers. I was supposed to make pop art in the assignment. During this assignment I learned different ways to use photoshop. I learned more about layers and hue and saturation.
I shot an open assignment and my topic was surrealism. I chose this topic to strengthen my photoshop skills. This shoot really taught me a lot about photoshop. I had a lot of fun working with the app. I chose to edit like this to emit an eerie feeling to go well with the ship. ISO 600 Shutter speed 1/100 Aperture F1.5 This project taught me a lot, first of all, photoshop is really hard to get right. It isn't too hard to do once you get into it but getting it right is very difficult. I'm going to continue working with it so I can get better.
My first photo I decided to choose people. I'm hoping to improve my portraiture and hopefully try some street photography. I want to catch candid moments and really capture emotion of my subjects. These photos really capture people's emotions, these are by my favorite photographer Vivian Maier, I will probably go to downtown Ann Arbor to find subjects.
